Karl Fisher Apparatus

The Karl Fischer method is based on a reagent which reacts with water and converts the water into a non-conductive chemical. It provides detection of water content in a product. For this reason, the endpoint of the titration is usually determined electrometrically with a double platinum wire electrode.
